This Policy explains what personal data Explocity ("we", "us") collects, why we collect it, and how you can exercise your rights over it. It applies alongside our Terms of Use.
1. Data we collect
- Account data: name, email, phone number, city / state / country.
- Event activity: RSVPs, saved events, digital passport metadata and QR codes.
- Organiser data: business name, contact details, event content and verification documents.
- Technical data: IP address, browser, device type and interaction analytics.
2. Why we collect it
- To provide the core service — sign-in, RSVP, digital passports and organiser dashboards.
- To verify organiser identity as part of our listing SOP.
- To send transactional emails (magic links, password reset, RSVP confirmations).
- To improve the Platform, measure engagement and detect abuse.
3. Sharing
When you RSVP for an event, the organiser can see the details you submitted (name, email, phone, city). We do not sell your personal data. We share limited data with infrastructure providers (hosting, database, email delivery, analytics) strictly to operate the Platform.
4. Cookies & analytics
We use essential cookies for authentication and a minimal set of analytics cookies to understand aggregate usage. You can control cookies from the banner on your first visit or via your browser settings.
5. Retention
We keep account and RSVP data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time by contacting us.
6. Your rights
- Access, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you.
- Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time.
- Export your registrations from the "My Passport" page.
7. Security
We use encryption in transit, row-level security on the database, and least-privilege access controls for staff. No system is perfectly secure — report suspected issues to security@explocity.com.
8. Children
The Platform is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
9. Changes
We will post updates to this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be highlighted on sign-in.
